1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site, not a court, sheriff's office, or Nebraska agency. It does not keep official records, request certified copies for visitors, file legal documents, or conduct an official background check.
Its purpose is to identify the offices and systems that hold Cass County information, including the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Cass County Court and District Court, Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside search tools.

Cass County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no credit report, background report, or consumer report. Its content and linked tools are not designed to screen a job applicant, applicant for housing, insurance customer, borrower, or person seeking a regulated benefit. A visitor must not use them to:
- Make a hiring, firing, or other employment decision
- Evaluate a housing or rental application
- Set insurance eligibility, terms, or premiums
- Assess creditworthiness or make a lending decision
- Make another decision governed by the FCRA
A legally authorized official Nebraska check should be requested through the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division. A regulated consumer-report purpose requires a provider that complies with the FCRA.
