Accuracy of Information
Cass County and Nebraska offices may revise an address, phone number, fee, counter hour, form, or procedure without notice. Record systems also change as cases are filed, amended, decided, restricted, or corrected. Reasonable efforts are made to keep resource information current, but no statement is guaranteed to be complete or accurate at a given time. Confirm details with the responsible office before visiting, paying a fee, or relying on a result.
An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
A Cass County arrest or booking entry does not prove guilt and does not show how a prosecution ended. A prosecutor may decline, change, or dismiss a charge, and a court may acquit a person. Nebraska also restricts some non-conviction criminal-history dissemination under Neb. Rev. Stat. §29-3523, while a set-aside under §29-2264 does not destroy the historical court file. Verify the disposition with Cass County Court, Cass County District Court, the arresting agency, or the Nebraska State Patrol as appropriate.
